Information you provide

The Random Student Picker lets you enter a list of names. During normal use, the picker runs in your browser and stores saved lists and preferences locally on your device. Avoid entering sensitive information and use first names, initials, or aliases when appropriate.

If you create a share link, an encoded—not encrypted—copy of the current names is placed in the URL. Anyone with the link can read the list, and browsers, hosting providers, or other services that process the URL may receive it. Keep classroom links private. The “Clear saved data” control removes the saved list and history from the current browser and removes the list parameter from the current page, but it cannot retract links already copied, shared, logged, or opened elsewhere.

If you email us or request a reply through the Sneyon Assistant, we receive the email address and information you choose to provide so we can respond. The assistant’s contact form may also record your optional name, a short summary of your request, the page where you submitted it, and whether you separately chose to receive marketing emails.

Sneyon Assistant

The Sneyon Assistant sends the messages you submit to Cloudflare’s AI services to generate a response. Sneyon does not use the assistant to collect passwords, payment information, student lists, medical information, or other sensitive data, and you should not include that information in a chat.

Chat messages are used to answer the current conversation and are not saved in Sneyon’s lead database. If you submit the separate contact form, the contact details and request summary shown in that form are saved as a lead. Asking for a reply does not subscribe you to marketing; marketing requires the separate optional checkbox.

Technical, analytics, and advertising data

Our hosting provider may process standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, time, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. We may use analytics to understand aggregate usage and improve our tools.

If advertising is enabled, Google and other advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to deliver, measure, and limit ads. Google explains how it uses information from partner sites in its partner-sites notice. Where required, we will request consent before using non-essential cookies or personalized advertising.

Children and classroom use

Sneyon’s classroom tools are intended for teachers and other adults facilitating activities. They are not designed to create accounts for children or collect children’s personal information. Educators should follow their school’s privacy rules and avoid entering full names or other identifying student information.

Choices, retention, and contact

You can clear locally saved picker names and history using the tool’s “Clear saved data” control or your browser settings. “Reset round” restarts the current activity but intentionally keeps the current names available. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser. Information sent by email or through the assistant’s contact form is retained only as needed to answer the request, maintain business records, or meet legal obligations.
